"Staff was polite, but not very helpful"
I stopped by with a few questions about textbooks and supplies, but the staff didn’t really seem to have the answers. They were nice enough, so it wasn’t a bad interaction, but I ended up having to figure most of it out on my own. I expected a little more help from the campus store. Has anyone else had the same issue there?

"Books were out of stock"
I tried getting my textbooks here, but a bunch of them were either unavailable or on backorder. It was one of those things where classes had already started, so waiting around didn’t really work. I ended up ordering from somewhere else. Just kind of frustrating for a campus store, honestly

"Pickup was honestly a mess"
I waited way too long for my pickup, and the staff actually couldn’t even find my order at first. It was really frustrating, and I don’t think I’d go through that again.

"Checkout was a mess"
Tried buying a hoodie, and the checkout just kept spinning after I entered my card info. Frustrating. Then I saw a pending charge on my bank account but never got an order email. Confusing. I had to start over twice, and by that point I was just over it. Annoying, and not worth the time.

"Way too pricey, and support felt copy-pasted"
I was checking ucdavisstores.com for some basic school supplies, but the prices seemed over the top for what they were. A few things I found were noticeably cheaper on other sites, even after adding shipping. I know it’s the campus store and there’s some convenience there, but the value just didn’t make sense to me. I also tried looking for help and the response felt like a copy-paste answer that didn’t really address what I was asking, which made it more frustrating. I ended up ordering from somewhere else

"Wrong shirts sent, and it was really frustrating"
I ordered two UC Davis shirts in specific sizes because one was meant to be a gift, but what showed up wasn’t right. One shirt was the wrong size, and the other was a completely different design. The packing slip actually listed the correct items, so I’m not sure where things went wrong. I tried reaching out for help, but it took way too long to get a clear response. I get that mistakes happen, but it feels like the decent thing would be to fix it quickly when someone’s order is clearly messed up.

"Decent product, but support needs work"
I’ve generally had an okay experience overall, and I was hoping this would be an easy issue to sort out. Unfortunately, when I reached out to customer service, they really weren’t much help and I left the conversation feeling frustrated. That said, I still think there’s potential here if they improve the support side of things.

"Not great for the price"
I really wanted to like this, but the shirt I bought felt thin right out of the package, and it started losing its shape after just a couple of washes. I guess it’s still wearable, so I’ll make do with it, but for the price I expected it to hold up a lot better. Kind of disappointing.
"Inventory was, like, totally off"
It said the item was in stock, but when I actually went to get it, it was, you know, already gone. Kind of frustrating because I basically made the trip thinking it was available.

I tried buying something on ucdavisstores.com and it was really kind of a hassle. The pages took forever to load, the search wasn’t very useful, and the filters kept either sending me back or showing me things I wasn’t even looking for.
The checkout part was confusing too, and I had to type my info in more than once, which got old fast. Maybe it’s better on a computer, but on my phone it felt really clunky and outdated. I ended up giving up after a while...

"Kind of a Mess, But I Guess They Tried"
The store had plenty of stuff, which is nice if you have the patience to dig for it, but the shelves were messy and it took way longer than it should’ve to find anything quickly

"Expected a little more from the official store"
I stopped in just looking for some basic UC Davis gear, nothing fancy, so I feel like it wasn’t unreasonable to expect a decent selection. But there really wasn’t much to choose from, and a lot of the sizes were already missing. I get that inventory can be hit or miss, but for an official store, it was kind of frustrating.

I don’t know if it was just my experience, but the exchange took way longer than I expected. The whole return process felt like a hassle, and I kept wondering if it was supposed to be that slow. Has anyone else had this happen?
